When you live by the sea like I do, water safety becomes a part of life. The market is filled with all kinds of life-preserving devices for water activities, so why is the number of deaths-by-drowning rising, not falling? The statistics are alarming, with between 300,000 and 500,000 drowning deaths worldwide every single year. Drowning is the third leading cause of unintentional death internationally.

And the victims aren’t professional sportsmen like many people believe.

We’re talking about casual holidaymakers who just want a fun day at the beach, never imagining that they’d lose their life.

The sea is unpredictable and volatile. Yet most people continue to swim unprotected, not because they don’t want protection, but because they can’t find something discreet and comfortable enough to keep on them while they swim.

And so, we spent years conceptualizing, designing, developing, testing, and re-testing the world’s smallest inflatable swimming aid. We shaved a few millimeters and grams off each prototype until we reached the final MiniFloat you see today.

MiniFloat keeps a low profile and keeps you safe without cramping your style. It’s small enough to slip into your pocket, or attach to a belt or armband. But if it’s called to action, don’t underestimate this small package. Its buoyancy is enough for most adults, big and petite.
